“We were looking for a fun band to play at our wedding reception, something very danceable and energetic but with enough variety to get the young and the old alike out onto the floor. Trying to find a solid, talented band to play some soul music but also funk it up is not a simple task. Then we came across Murray’s Rule. From the first contact they seemed positive and fun. Professional and prompt in getting us information, set lists, equipment details (it was an outdoor wedding), recordings of their music, and even inviting us up to see them live to get a better feel for their style; They were extremely helpful in setting up the entire event. They even learned our wedding song specifically for us.
Since the wedding we have gone out of our way to go to their shows several times because they are that good, even though they are based in Portland, Maine and we live in Boston.
